Let me start off by saying I am a 53 year old female who was sent to physical therapy after receiving injections in both SI Joints. I was having severe pain in my right hip and lower back. After physical therapy I felt that with more work, I could continue to strengthen those muscles along with general strengthening all over my body, and I also wanted to work on my balance. I explained this to my Physical Therapist and asked for any recommendations for a gym/trainor, and she gave me Steve Dobson’s name and phone number. I left a message for him and he promptly returned my call and answered all my questions. We set up an appointment for an initial consultation. He answered a lot more questions I had, along with him asking me what I was wanting/expecting out of my training with him which I appreciated. He really listens and addresses the problem issues along with other areas you want to work on. I like that you work with just him and you’re not working with different people all the time too. I am only half way done with my training and have already noticed an amazing difference in my hip/back, along with feeling stronger all over and my balance is already noticeably better. If you are suffering from body pain and you’re willing to put in the work to get and feel better, I highly recommend Steve Dobson. He has been great to work with, he listens and the results so far have been outstanding. I know the stretches/exercises/knowledge I have obtained from him will continue to help me now and into the future as I age.

If you are in pain and repeating a vicious cycle of pain that leads to backing off workouts that seems to lead to more pain and loss of gains, STOP TRYING TO HANDLE IT ALONE. I’ve done so many physical therapy appts, pain management, chiropractors…none seemed to really get me back on track. I’ve been able to rehab alone before but truthfully , this time I needed someone who knows rehab, knows PT, and KNOWS lifting. I usually don’t put money into these kinds of things but wow this was seriously worth it. I’ve had a 2 year long shoulder injury and even longer back and knee injury that has always had to be babied and repeatedly re-injured due to my military service. After just a few months my years long shoulder injury and knee and back issues have improved significantly to the point that after 2 or so years of that vicious cycle that kept me out of the gym and lifting like I loved is no more! I’ve been consistent, improving my lifts, all of which improve my health and my mental outlook. Steven has taught me tips and tricks that I absolutely know I would not have gotten from the conventional PT’s. If you’re struggling with pain, do yourself a favor and at LEAST attend a worship or free consult. Not for nothing, this guy knows what he’s doing, he’s passionate about lifting AND getting you back to your passion. His approach is super personalized to your purpose, your lifestyle, and your goals. So excited and do not regret giving Steven a chance!

Steven has been amazing to work with. I started training because I wanted to reduce pain and get stronger for everyday life, and I had never lifted weights before. He made everything feel easy and enjoyable and helped me get comfortable using all kinds of equipment at the gym. After almost 9 months of working with him, I can really see the difference in my body, I have much less pain, and I feel so much more confident in my appearance and fitness. He’s also been able to tailor a workout program around my injuries that has kept me making progress while I’m healing. I highly recommend Steven!

Steven has been incredible to work with. I originally came in for a hamstring injury, and during treatment I also hurt my lower back, so we focused on both along with my ongoing shin splints. What I expected to be basic rehab turned into a much more personalized and effective physical therapy experience focused on lifting, strength training, and getting back to training without constant pain. He helped me understand how my body responds to movement and injury, built a realistic schedule to support my fitness goals, and made sure I wasn’t overwhelmed with unnecessary exercises. Steven clearly cares about his clients and his work, and I now feel stronger, more confident, and far more informed. I highly recommend him to anyone dealing with pain, injury, or wanting to return to training safely.

I came to see Steven after experiencing low back spasms & plantar fasciitis. He developed a plan to alleviate my pain through slow, intentional exercises to help strengthen my back, hips and feet. What I really appreciated was his encouragement to keep working out with some minor modifications so I didn’t lose all of the hard work I’ve put in at the gym. I’m happy to say that I’ve fully recovered from my injury and now have the tools to continue pursuing my fitness goals.

Came to Steven with low back pain and I loved that he worked with weight lifters and he wasn’t going to just tell me I shouldn’t deadlift anymore. I also loved that his office was IN the gym so we got to work right away and tried so many different things! My low back pain is well managed now and I’m hitting PRs left and right! Highly recommend!
