DETAIL MD

DETAIL MD is a statewide academic detailing (AD) program, managed by the Maryland Department of Health. We offer free, 1-on-1 educational sessions to clinicians across Maryland. Each detailing session is tailored to your clinical workflow and patient population—keeping you up-to-date on the latest clinical guidance in as little as 15 minutes. Since 2019, trained public health professionals—detailers—have delivered the latest evidence-based clinical best practices around CDS prescribing, pain management, and SUD management directly to prescribers and dispensers. To date, we've provided over 800 educational sessions. AD is an interactive, proactive educational outreach strategy proven to drive sustained clinical behavior change and improve patient outcomes. Backed by numerous published studies, including randomized controlled trials, AD interventions are statistically associated with improved prescribing behaviors and a higher proportion of patients using medications as intended.
