About me
Collioure is the music project of Japanese producer Takahiro Nakamura, named after the sun-drenched port town in southern France. Echoing the birthplace of Fauvism that inspired its name, the project transforms vivid emotional color into a sound that is both raw and refined.
Emerging from Japan’s electronic music scene, Collioure creates immersive soundscapes where the pulse of club culture meets deep, introspective melody. His music balances intricate sound design with evocative atmosphere, offering a sense of beauty that feels timeless yet unmistakably contemporary.
Since debuting as a remixer in 2003 and releasing his first album Colors of the Spirit in 2005, Nakamura’s sound has continued to evolve with quiet confidence. From chillout and downtempo roots to more club-oriented forms, his recent work embraces the rhythmic nostalgia of New Jack Swing and synth-driven textures, reflecting a restless curiosity and an ever-expanding creative palette.
