I am currently researching a 16th-century fresco at Abbot House, Dunfermline. The artwork is fragmentary and fascinating, and I am always interested in connecting with people whose knowledge, experience, or research may help shed light on it. The project draws on many different strands of knowledge, ranging from local history to linguistics and classical literature. I am also interested in the material life of the fresco itself as the result of material and embodied practices (making, techniques, pigments, etc.) Knowledge of conservation, Renaissance crafts, Scottish art history, or related fields is very welcome.
