Such a hidden gem!
We came here on a monday for their oysters special but they ran out since they have that same special all night long on a sunday jazz night.
However, we still ended up having the best meal ever. The price compared to the quality and quantity so just wow, left me speechless.
Definitely a good location for a date night or drinks with friends.
10/10 solid and impressive choice.
however, the service is so so. Kinda got backhanded passive attitude when things got busy.

Very cool little bar and spot on st laurent to stop for 1 or 2 drinks on a nice summer day while bar hopping. Cocktails are on the more pricier side, but are very good.
I would not eat there again, maybe just the 1$ oysters but the potatoes were burnt and flavourless, the pulled pork burger was just meh. The salad though, was quite tasty.
I loved the decor, the music was loungy style and they had a DJ there which made it nice and cozy; also sometimes live music which I would love to see/hear.
The service was slow, it took a while for the waiter to come see us, and wasn’t very busy which lost some points for me.

Very bad experience….We went here the first time and we were told to return on a Sunday evening for live music and 1$ oysters. We were very excited to return for an oyster date night (my wife’s favorite) but were greeted by the hostess who told us it was $1 oyster night until they were gone but that we had to order 6 or 12 at a time with each drink. We ordered 12 oysters and two drinks and by the time we received our drinks the oysters were gone. We understand the oysters are gone when they are gone but no one had told us until we arrived that you had to order drinks with order before we went there. Beware, this is not a good deal!

Came here on a Wednesday evening and made it in time for their happy hour! We got each of their happy hour mocktails and they were all very well crafted! We also got their bootlegger beer and it came in a boot glass! The jazz band was very good as well!

We stumbled into Bootlegger without knowing it was Jazz night, and were instantly transported to the Prohibition Age! What a cozy, lovely spot for drinks; I got the le nuit cocktail, and it was a genuine feast for the senses. The coconut sugar added such a beautiful textural dimension to the drink, I wanted to lick the glass clean!<br>The jazz musicians were fantastic and the staff were all so helpful and sweet. I would love to come back to try the food here! Cannot recommend enough.

Ok so as a top mtl guide I rarely these days find gems like this that really meet my expectation to this point. First off a big thank you to Remus for his amazing service and great drinks suggestions. Give that nice guy a free drink on the house for his good service. Secondly, the place was super cozy. The food was really hitting the spot for me, simple, but many flavors and with the drinks they were awesome. I will say most bars I've been to in mtl have very simple finger foods so to see a bar have a nice resto menu was really awesome! I am going to be back here many times, I really enjoyed it. I did a reservation the day of and it was quiet, so I was really happy, but other days there may be many people.
