God, Why?Mr. William Arthur Smotherman IVPaperbackWhat if the question you've been afraid to ask God is the very question that begins the conversation? God, Why? is the true story of Arthur Smotherman—a four-year-old boy left standing on his grandmother's porch who grew into a man searching for belonging in all the wrong places. But this is not a story about what darkness can destroy. It is a story about what the love of Jesus can redeem. From abandonment, addiction, crime, and prison to family, ministry, and carrying the Gospel to the nations, Arthur shares the unfiltered story of his past and the journey that changed everything: discovering the goodness of God, learning his true identity as a son, finding healthy love and family, and eventually carrying that same message of hope to others around the world. God, Why? is for anyone who has ever looked at the painful chapters of their life and wondered: Where was God? Why did this happen? Can my life still become something beautiful? Arthur's story is living proof that your past does not have the authority to define your future. Your past doesn't get the final word. Love does.
God Why?Arthur SmothermanEbookWhat if the question you've been afraid to ask God is the very question that begins the conversation? At four years old, Arthur Smotherman was left behind by his mother. What followed was a lifetime of searching for love, acceptance, identity, and belonging. That search led him down roads he never imagined—through broken relationships, destructive decisions, crime, and prison. But prison wasn't the end of his story. God, Why? is an unfiltered true-life memoir about childhood abandonment, the consequences of our choices, and the transforming love of Jesus Christ. Through deeply personal experiences, Arthur shares the questions he asked, the mistakes he made, and the discoveries that changed how he understood God, himself, and the people around him. This isn't a story about a perfect man. It's a story about a God whose love never stopped reaching for him. From a little boy wondering why he was left behind to a man now carrying hope to children and families around the world, Arthur's journey is a powerful reminder: Your past does not have the authority to define your future. If you've ever struggled with rejection, shame, regret, or the question "God, why?"—this story is for you.
