My story and debt payoff!
Born and raised in Western North Carolina, Cait Lyons grew up surrounded by the Appalachian mountains and folk music. Although she wouldn't consider herself an instrumentalist, her specialty lies in her folk-inspired bluesy vocals. With a firm belief in the value of temporary art, Cait never sings a song the same twice. Cait sings with the intention of connecting everyone to each other and the universe, and when you pause to listen on the street, you BECOME the art.
Cait moved to Salida, Colorado in 2023 and joined a chainsaw crew with SCC at the age of 21. She was then diagnosed with early stage melanoma, and although she was considered cancer-free by early 2024, she is still paying off $39k in life debt today.
After a 6 year performance hiatus, she stumbled upon Eugene Music, a nomadic musician who performs out of a van he converted into a mobile studio/stage. Eugene peer-pressured Cait into singing with him at a bar in 2025, and as of 2026, she's busking in full swing!
