We Can Do It, Together!

We are a club of homesteading women who meet on the third Thursday of each month to learn, support, and grow together with self-sufficient skills. 

Our club is open to all women regardless of socio-economic status. We are all Rosies and our door is open for all with a willingness to learn & grow.

Currently serving women in Sandusky, Seneca and Ottawa counties. 

Our monthly Roundups (meetings) are just for our Rosies, but we do have field trips every year that are open for friends and families of our Rosies to attend. This is encouraged at our field trips, because we understand the importance of having a good support system. 

Who are the Rosies?

It is the self reliance that comes from providing for one’s own needs, to lessen or remove reliance on others. Self-sufficiency is defined differently based on each person’s unique goals. This can include baking your own bread, mending a shirt, buying local, fixing a door hinge, growing vegetables, raising livestock, using rainwater collection, going off grid, and many other goals. We seek to connect our women with their families and friends to support common goals together and gain greater independence.

Some of the basic interests are: Food preservation (canning, freezing, drying), Kitchen skills (cheese, bread, fermentation, zero food waste), Home skills (cleaning products, soap making, beauty products), Fiber Arts (sewing, weaving, dyeing), Livestock (chickens, cattle, pigs), Life Skills (herbal remedies, foraging, fishing, hunting, carpentry, mechanics), Gardening (vegetables, fruit trees, planning), and so much more.
