How do I become a garden member?

How long is the waitlist?

We are currently advising people that the wait is at least five years.

There are other community gardens in the area with shorter waitlists - search on the PHS Community Garden website to find one near you: https://phsonline.org/programs/community-gardens/find-your-community-garden

How much does it cost to join?

Accepted Answer

As of 2026, the annual cost is $25.

All gardeners are also expected to attend at least 2 garden meetings & workdays (held monthly) and sign up for one or more garden job.

Can I get produce from the garden?

Not from inside the garden - those are personally tended plots.

Warrington Community Garden participates in the City Harvest program and delivers produce to a local food pantry weekly during the gardening season. 
Donations currently go to the Grace Tabernacle Church Food Pantry at 5124 Greenway Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19143 which is open on Thursdays at 11am.

The orchard along Warrington Ave outside of the fence and the herb garden on the parking lot wall are open to anyone in the community to pick.

Can I volunteer?

We are a volunteer-run organization, but we do not currently have a formal process for community volunteers. If opportunities or specific projects become available, we can share them with the community.
