Taïsa Lana Colson

Taïsa Lana Colson is a Belgian composer, music producer and sound designer whose practice brings together music, film and sound. Classically trained as a pianist at Conservatorium Maastricht, she studied sound production at SyntraPXL and completed an MFA in Music for Motion Pictures and Contemporary Media at the Film Scoring Academy of Europe, graduating with First Class Honours. Her work spans orchestral composition, contemporary classical music, electronic music and production. With experience in orchestral recording, music preparation, production and post-production, she approaches sound as an integral part of visual storytelling. Colson is drawn to drama and psychological narratives, exploring atmosphere, tension, ambiguity and emotional spaces beneath the image. In 2026, she was nominated for the Emerging Composer Award at the Apulia Soundtrack Awards. Her research into colour theory and film music reflects her fascination with visual and auditory perception.
