JCU SEAWEED DAY FILM FESTIVAL

Join us for an evening of ocean-inspired storytelling featuring White Rock—a stunning short film that dives into Australia's hidden underwater crisis—urchin barrens destroying our kelp forests—and a host of other amazing short films! After the screening, enjoy a Q&A session and a sea urchin uni tasting experience. Food can be purchased from Canto's Kitchen on campus at JCU, including delicious pizza and cheese platters! We suggest calling ahead to preorder - details via their Facebook page below. Drink can also be purchased on the night at the venue. Please note - there is NO BYO alcohol. This event will be held on the JCU Bebegu Yumba (Townsville) Campus at the Central Plaza. Please note this is an open-air event and there is limited seating. We suggest bringing your own picnic blanket to best enjoy the evening.
