The Revista Latino-Americana de Enfermagem (RLAE) is the official scientific publication of the Ribeirão Preto College of Nursing at the University of São Paulo and of the PAHO/WHO Collaborating Centre for the Development of Nursing Research. Its mission is to publish the results of scientific research in nursing and other fields of interest to healthcare professionals. It is a national journal with international circulation, whose first issue was published in January 1993. The print version (ISSN 0104-1169) was discontinued in 2015. The journal adopts a continuous publication system (rolling pass), with all articles published in Portuguese, Spanish, and English. It is affiliated with the Brazilian Association of Scientific Editors (ABEC) and is indexed in the most important national and international indexing databases. This journal adopts the Open Access model, ensuring that all published scientific content is freely available online, without any financial barriers or access restrictions.
