I like dynamic environments, small (-ish) core teams, collaborative work (intra and cross-teams), t-shaped learning, knowledge and feedback sharing.

I'm a Portuguese-British citizen, so I'm eligible to work within the EU and UK. I'm currently based in Lisbon (Portugal), so I favour local and remote work from here, but am open to relocating within Europe for interesting roles.
I'm also open to roles in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and Asia with visa sponsorship.

Marketing: Every artist's campaign at Beatstar: Linkin Park, Eminem, Coldplay, Charlie Puth x Jungkook (of BTS), indie artists...

Community: the VIP program revamp (Siege). It successfully reengaged and retained churned VIPs, and increased engagement and spend of active VIPs. Listening to the players and product mindset were key!

Social: Every single CSR initiative I had the pleasure to lead or be a part of. We increased visibility within our communities and fundraised for sustainability, disabled gamers, LGBTQIA+, and natural disaster relief

Why did I choose this career path?

Once I knew I wanted to work in games, I decided I wanted to learn everything about what makes them tick. I started by learning all about players and communities, how they behave, what they need and want, how to engage them, and how to interpret their feedback and translate that into usable information to advocate for them within the team.

After some time, I took on product work, designing and setting up daily content (events, bundles, playable characters, etc). I had to switch from a player-first to a product-first mindset and learn about how products, systems, and product teams worked. Because of my background, I was able to develop those skills with a keen sense of how they would be perceived and accepted by the players, and prepare for or future-proof against possible issues.

Why did I take a year off to travel?

I had always dreamed of having a gap year to travel, experiencing new people, cultures, ecosystems, foods, and activities.
So I did it as soon as I could! I traveled through 30 cities, 5 countries, and 2 continents, mostly on my own.

Here are my highlights:

Having full conversations with locals, stumbling my way through their language.
Learning to snowboard in the Swiss Alps and experiencing the amazing snow in Japanese Alps.
Swimming in crystal clear waters alongside colorful fish in Okinawa.
Attending 8+ concerts of artists I love in different cities.
Meeting up with old and new friends in different cities and sharing unforgettable moments.
Didn't get lost nearly as much as I thought I would, and problem-solved my way through it all.

It was the best year of my life, no regrets.
