Partho Dasgupta is a distinguished senior general management professional and seasoned business strategist with extensive leadership experience across the media and consumer sectors. He is best known as the founding CEO of BARC India, where he established the world’s largest television audience measurement system in just 20 months. His tenure introduced advanced technology architecture, including audio watermarking and big data capabilities, spanning 3,000 towns and villages. Presently, he is the Managing Partner at Thoth Advisors, consulting for growth-stage companies at the intersection of technology and media. An alumnus of IIM Calcutta and a mechanical engineer, he has held key leadership roles at premier organizations such as Times Now and The Economic Times. Recognized as one of India’s "Top 100 People Managers" by Forbes, he is also a past President of The Advertising Club and a frequent speaker at forums such as TEDx.
