Does it have a brand new interior?

Accepted Answer

The interior is not new but some work was done while the engine was being freshly overhalled in 2024.  Left and right front seat were removed, stripped, the frames repainted, and seats reupholstered with FAA approved materials.

What is the engine time SMOH (Since Major Overhall)?

At the time of writing this FAQ it is at 10 hours but might increase a little while flying.

The Full Sales Spec link has the current time.  The engine is freshly overhauled and details are below and in the logs.

Overhauled November 2024 by Point Aviation, Mineral Point, Wisconsin. Reinstalled in N3465R in December, 2024. New Lord mounts, P/N J9613-40 and new hardware. The oil cooler was overhauled by Pacific Oil Cooler Services, and new oil and fuel lines were installed. A new engine heater was installed.

The engine compartment was extensively refreshed while waiting for the engine overhaul to be completed.

Why are there two names on the contacts listed?

Bill is the owner.  He is not a pilot.  Jeff is his father in law and an experienced pilot and located closer to the plane in Milwaukee.  You can call or discuss details with either.  They are both monitoring the number and email listed in the contact info here.  Some of these FAQs say "we" but it is just the two of us working together on the sale.

Can the airplane be delivered?

We know a pilot that would be willing to deliver the plane anywhere in the US after the sale at a reasonable rate.  We can link you (the buyer) with them to get pricing and contract them independently to do that.

Question 5

Can I drive by and look at it?

Accepted Answer

The plane is located in a personal aviation private hanger on the larger Milwaukee MKE airport.  You will need to schedule an appointment and be escorted to see the plane.

How are the exterior and interior on a scale of 1-10?

This is tough to answer but a common question for older airplanes.  After all, it is a 1970 plane.  We looked at all the other planes listed at this time and factored that into the pricing.  It's best if you look at the pictures in detail before scheduling a visit in person.  Colors are nice and neutral all around.  If you are looking for popular 70's colors (orange, green, red, woodgrain, etc) then sorry we don't have them :) We tried to include many practical views so you can make your own decision on your scale of 1-10?

Is this airplane for sale by owner?

Yes, it is a simple for sale by owner airplane.  This QR code and way to contact us is just neat so we gave it a try.

What is your lowest price?

The listing price is located in the Trade-A-Plane listing.  You are welcome to see the plane in Milwaukee or call to ask other questions prior to visiting in person.

Is it a cash sale?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We would suggest you use an escrow service to review the contract, monitor the funds transfer, complete a title search and all the other usual steps in the purchase of the aircraft.  We can recommend some reputable ones for the buyer to consider.  You can obtain a loan if needed and fund the escrow account to complete the sale.

When was this airplane first listed for sale?

We listed it for sale around April 10th on Trade-A-Plane.  First showings are not until May 15th because of some travel and personal plans until then.

Do I want help from a broker to sell it?

No thank you at this time.  It should sell quickly at this price as it is a very well maintained airplane.

Are you interested in a partner?

If you are locted in Milwaukee, WI or the North Shore of Chicago then there is a very small chance.  Contact us if you are interested.  It is primarily for sale.

Are there any outstanding Airworthiness Directives (ADs)?

No.  The wingspar AD was completed in April, 2023. Results are appropriately logged in the logbooks.

Does it have right-seat brakes?

It does not have right seat brakes.
