Journalist & activist specialising in— 💜 rights: sex workers; SV/GBV survivors; the LGBTQIA+ community 💜 access to information & information integrity; 💜 freedom of expression; anti-censorship. For the last fourteen years I've done extensive work as an activist in the areas of press freedom and freedom of expression; access to information and information integrity; and anti sexual violence advocacy and rape survivor rights. In 2013 I was the national spokesperson and media liaison for the Silent Protest, then South Africa's largest national protest against rape and sexual violence. Additionally, I was featured in the South African editions of Oprah magazine and Marie Claire magazine for my past work as a rape survivor rights activist in 2011 and 2013 respectively.
