What are your books and Trilingual Kits — and why did you create them?

They’re digital tools designed to support both **children and parents** as they grow — in **language**, **emotion**, and **heart**.

My books and flashcards center around two themes:

🌱 **Growth mindset**

All available in **English**, **Japanese**, and **Vietnamese**.

I made them not just for my sons — but for myself.

Because every time we read together,

These stories are a space to **connect, learn, and grow — together.**

Most resources focus on *either* the adult or the child.

**But what if we read the same story…**

And shared the same words to name our feelings — *and the tools to care for them?.* 
This is the space I would like to create with my resources.

What is the meaning behind the rainbow imagery in your book/method?

The rainbow in Haru’s Fiery Feelings and the Rainbow Balloon Breath is inspired by the natural beauty of rainbows — a symbol of hope, wonder, and the full spectrum of emotions we all feel inside.

Just like a rainbow appears after a storm, this breath practice helps children (and grown-ups too) move through anger and into calm — one gentle breath at a time. 🌈💨

I also warmly embrace the rainbow’s meaning in the wider world — as a sign of diversity, love, and inclusion. Every child, every family, every feeling is welcome here.

May this rainbow bring comfort, not conflict.

Do I need to speak Japanese to use your materials?

Not at all! Everything is written in **English, Japanese, and Romaji** (Japanese written in Latin letters), so even beginners can learn and speak naturally.

These stories are designed for *real-life connection*, not perfection.

I’m a Canadian mom with a Vietnamese background, married to a Japanese husband, raising two trilingual boys in Japan.

Our home is multilingual — and I wanted to create resources that honor all three parts of our hearts.
