I'm an impressionist painter who sells human-made art to nature lovers, adventurers, gardeners and anyone who finds serenity in wild places or feels awe when standing alone watching a desert sunrise. A 7th generation Texan, I'm rooted to the landscape, a former pilot who knows what it is to dance with clouds, a fourth degree black belt who understands the value of resilience. I'm a professional artist who absolutely must express the beauty that's part of being alive. My art hangs in most every state in the USA, in corporate and international collections. My husband Jim and I spent over two decades fulltime RV-ing, my studio a rustic building on a remote working ranch in the Davis Mountains near Ft Davis and Marfa, (or wherever I set up my easel). These days, along with a stubbornly affectionate rescued Lhasa Apso and a cranky African Grey parrot who passionately loves art, we call the broken pastures and rolling hills of central Texas 'home". My Midlothian studio is significantly more comfortable than the one I left behind in Big Bend country, but wherever I paint, I share my reverence for nature, wild spaces and roads less traveled in my southwest paintings and drawings. Art takes you places, and I regularly return to West Texas, my beloved Canyonlands in the Texas Panhandle, Hill Country and home here in Central Texas to fill my soul and your walls.
