Jose Huitron is a Lecturer in Entrepreneurship at Cal Poly's Orfalea College of Business and the founder of Edify Ventures, where he works with founders and leaders on leadership development and venture strategy through his Founder First™ approach — the principle that you must scale the founder before you scale the venture. He also serves as a Startup & Growth Strategy Advisor with the Cal Poly CIE Small Business Development Center and founded Santa Maria Valley Tech, building the entrepreneurial ecosystem of California's Central Coast since 2016. Also known as Coach Huitron, he founded 805 Trench Lab, a linemen development and performance training program. His work sits at the intersection of leadership development, entrepreneurship, and human performance.
