Can I watch my dancer in class?

Our regular classes are parent-free so dancers can focus, build independence, and grow their confidence without a weekly audience — dancers really do perform differently when they know they're being watched! We host a Parent Observation week each November, where parents are invited in to watch class in action.

Question 2

Can my dancer make up a missed class?

Accepted Answer

Yes! Dancers are encouraged to make up any missed class at any point during the first half of the season. Just check in with the office and we'll help find a good fit.

Question 3

How do I pay tuition and when is it due?

Monthly tuition fees are due on or before the 7th  each month in order to receive the discounted rate! ￼ We accept check, cash or Venmo- please let us know if you need our Venmo link ￼

Question 4

What if my dancer is sick?

Accepted Answer

Please keep your dancer home if they have a fever, are vomiting, or are otherwise contagious. Missed classes can be made up anytime during the season or session — see
"Can I make up a missed class?" above.

Question 5

How will I know about weather closings?

We will update all FB, Instagram and send an email by 1pm if the schools close due to weather— that's the fastest way to hear about closings and last-minute updates! If you are ever nervous about weather don’t hesitate to reach out! Safety First!

What should my dancer wear to class?

Requirements vary by class and style — our full Dress Code Guide breaks it down class by class. Please label all shoes with your dancer's first and last name or initials.

Who should I contact with questions?

Please email encoremissevie@gmail.com or call 515-974-4074 for all studio communications. We ask that families route questions through the office rather than messaging teachers directly, so nothing gets missed.

What hours is the front office open?

We will have office staff Monday through Thursday from 3:30 to 7 PM ￼

My little dancer seems a bit nervous, is that normal?

Completely! New faces and routines can be a big step, especially for our littlest dancers. With a little time and encouragement, most dancers settle in within the first few classes — our teachers are experienced at helping with transitions and giving love to all our dancers!

Where can I purchase the required dance shoes?
