What are your qualifications?

I have been an animal-lover as long as I can remember, and surrounded by pets since childhood. I began showing in 4-H with my rabbits. Later I joined the United States Pony Club, completing through my C-2 certification. During high school and college, I was riding lots and working in barns. I also competed through the Novice level in Eventing.
In the professional world, I have worked in vet clinics, at doggie daycares, for a local trainer who specialized in behavior modification in all breeds of dogs, and in multiple laboratory settings doing environmental enrichment for various large animal species. In 2023, I graduated with my certificate in Applied Animal Behavior from UW, to accompany my BA in psychology.

Question 2

What kind of dogs do you train? What is your style?

Accepted Answer

I train all breeds and ages of dogs, anything from small annoyances in the house through major dog/human reactivity.
I have trained everything from toy breeds to Great Danes, puppies, and rescue dogs. I also have a strong background in training psychiatric service dogs as well.
My style is based in balanced training- I have had excellent results for prong collar and e-collar use, especially when working through behavior modification, but also will incorporate classically positive rewards like food and toys.

What areas do you serve?

Accepted Answer

I serve the PNW, primarily in the greater Seattle area. Typical areas include Island, Snohomish, King, & Thurston counties. 
I do travel regularly south towards Tacoma and Portland for training. Please feel free to ask if your location is not listed. I do have experience with training virtually, Zoom and FaceTime are also available.

Do you provide transport?

Accepted Answer

Yes! Do you need an Uber for your pet for whatever reason? 
We can organize a ride for your animal if needed.
Currently can accommodate up to a 40" crate, or up to 80 lbs as a harnessed backseat passenger.
