What is the workshop requirement?

You must attend at least TWO workshops each semester in order to be in good standing for the program.

Question 2

What GPA do I need to maintain?

Accepted Answer

You must maintain at least:
- 2.5 GPA (2024 Cohort)
- 2.75 GPA (2025 Cohort)
This is a CUMULATIVE average to maintain, so if you have one poor semester, you won't be kicked out of the program.

Question 3

What happens if my GPA falls below the standard?

If your semester GPA is lower than the minimum required GPA, but your cumulative is still above the minimum requirement, we will discuss how best to improve during your advisement meeting.

If your cumulative GPA falls below the minimum requirement for one semester, we will academically review you and work with you to ensure you can remain in the program.

If your cumulative GPA is below the minimum requirement for 2 semester or more, we may academically dismiss you from the program.

Question 4

What are some of the other program requirements?

You must meet with your assigned mentor on a regular basis (at least once a month is preferred), meet with Anne at least once per semester, and submit your transcript/grades to Anne at the end of each semester. Failure to comply could result in being placed on probation.

What should I do to prepare for advisement meeting with Anne?

You should be prepared to discuss the following:
- Academic Progress
- Extracurriculars
- Application/Test Prep progress
- Career path/goals
- Any other things that are on your mind that you want to discuss in a safe space

Question 8

When will I get my Financial Aid award?

Accepted Answer

We send new letters to your financial aid offices each fall semester for the entire year. In some cases, you may be able to let your financial aid office know ahead of time that this aid is coming. 
Once we send the award letters to your campuses, they should have access to your award funding in their accounts. If you are experiencing issues, please let me know ASAP so I can help troubleshoot. This process can take until midway through fall semester. Please be patient.
Please note that refunds may or may not be awarded, depending on the campus. We cannot advocate for your campus to give you a refund. The financial aid award we provide is meant to cover school attendance costs, NOT to provide excess funding like a stipend award.

Can I request a letter of recommendation from Anne?

Yes! I love writing letters of recommendations for students. You must request this at least TWO weeks in advance, as I often have other tasks that I need to attend to on a last minute basis. I will not write you a letter if you ask me a few days before a deadline. We are aiming to be prepared ahead of time, not scrambling at the last minute!
