ACBL began in 1915 as a coal-moving business on the Kentucky River. Over the following century, we expanded into one of the country's largest marine transportation companies. Today, our fleet includes 3,500+ barges and 130+ towboats. We've invested over a billion dollars in our fleet and operations, and we operate with 2,000 Team Members serving 12,000 miles of inland waterway.
