The duties of Peace Commissioners consist primarily of: - taking statutory declarations, - witnessing signatures on documents if required by various authorities, - signing certificates and orders under various Acts. The most common documents I work with are citizenship applications, GRCs, and statutory declarations for employee & voluntary roles. Please note that a Peace Commissioner cannot witness an affidavit, only a Commissioner of Oaths or solicitor can witness them. I don't have a fee for my service.
