Mending Kai's Heart | Linktree

Meet Kainel, lovingly called Kai. At just 3 months old, he has already faced a battle no baby should ever have to endure.

Kai was born with a rare and critical heart condition called Taussig-Bing Anomaly, along with coarctation of the aorta. His heart’s major arteries are abnormally connected, and a large hole in his heart affects how oxygen-rich blood reaches his body. Because of this, his heart and lungs have to work incredibly hard to keep him alive.

At only 11 days old, Kai bravely underwent his first surgery to stabilize his condition. It saved his life, but it was only the beginning.

Kai now needs a second, more complex open-heart surgery to correct his heart’s anatomy and give him a chance at a healthier future. As he awaits this crucial procedure, his journey continues, one day at a time.

This little fighter has already shown incredible courage. This is Kai’s story, and his fight for tomorrow is far from over.
