What is the Mediterranean JEF Summit?

The Mediterranean JEF Summit (MEDI) comprises 8 National Sections of the Young European Federalists (JEF) and is a regional collaboration forum and youth project accelerator.

Our key areas of work are: Joint political positions on regional issues, political coordination on JEF Europe's statutory bodies, joint campaigns targeting Mediterranean youth, youth projects, joint fundraising, and a channel for other civil society and youth organisations to engage with JEF.

What is JEF in general and JEF Europe?

JEF (Young European Federalists) is a non-partisan, pan-European youth NGO dedicated to promoting democratic engagement, active citizenship, and closer European cooperation. It directly advocates for the creation of a democratic European federation as a guarantee for peace, the rule of law and human rights. Following the motto “Simply a generation ahead”, we want Europe to complete the integration process started after World War II and meet the challenges of the 21st century.

JEF Europe, established in 1972, functions as the overarching international network, connecting more than 10,000 activists organised in over 250 national, regional and local sections in 37 countries.

How can I contribute, and who can take part?

Any young person aged 16–30 residing in our partner Mediterranean countries.

We welcome you to actively participate in our digital policy labs ahead of the physical event, then join us live once applications are opened!

Important Note: We want to hear from diverse, fresh voices, especially those from geographically isolated or insular regions and those facing socio-economic barriers.
