My time leading Better Streets for Birmingham CIC for the last few years is coming to an end! I had wanted to say this at tonight’s supporters meeting but I’ve been in hospital since the weekend, so a post will have to do. We’ve achieved some great policy changes and safety interventions, and now with grant funding, the organisation will be able to go further with establishing more transport activism in different parts of the city. I wish Paul and Florence well and will be supporting them as I step back from the organisation. Now that paperwork is over the line, I can share that from this autumn, I’ll be starting a PhD at Birmingham City University to look at how design thinking from the world of government service transformation can improve the deliverability of mobility projects. Too many schemes fail. Let’s try to fix that. Please reach out if this interests you at all!
