What is hard water?

Hard water is defined by how much calcium, iron, and magnesium your water contains.

A good quick visual check is if there is white residue on your faucets and appliances. Iron can leave your shower or tub orange-red.

Whether you noticed it before or not, that residue is called scale and it can build up in your pipes, shorten your appliances' lifespan, and be a pain to clean off. It's also really tough on your skin and hair.

How much does a water cooler rental cost?

Well, we have two kinds of water coolers available; one is a Hot & Cold and the other is a Cook & Cold. Both pricing and function vary so let's discuss that:

Hot & Cold coolers start at $12.00 a month. They supply you with ice cold water and very hot water on the other (it's almost boiling!). These coolers feature a safety nozzle for the hot water, but a child lock is recommended if children will be around it at all as the hot water can cause serious burns.

Cook & Cold coolers start at $10 a month. They still have the ice cold water feature, but the second spout provides room temperature water. We suggest looking into a cook & cold cooler if you have small children (or large animals) that can access the unit.

How much water do I have to get?

For each delivery, there is a 2 bottle minimum.

When you get signed up, we will start you out with 5 bottles of water (each of these are 5 gallon bottles). You don't need to use all of it before your next delivery date, but we want to be sure you don't run out.

Question 4

Can't I just go to the gas station for water?

Accepted Answer

Sure, you could. You could even go to a big box store if you wanted. But with us, if you ask our technicians to take the water inside for you, place it in a specific area, or even install that first jug on for you, they're more than happy to do so as we deliver your water.

What about smaller bottles of water?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely, we have plenty of smaller options. Here's what we have to offer:

- individual 1 gallon jugs
- a 6 pack of 1 gallon jugs
- 3 gallon water cooler jugs
- a 24 pack of 20oz bottles

We also offer Original Ski, Gem Cream Soda, and coffee products. All of the items I have talked about are available for delivery.

What kind of water goes on the coolers?

We have 3 different kinds of water right now in our 5 gallon jugs:

-Reverse Osmosis Water
-Distilled
-Spring

We also offer a 3 gallon bottle of Reverse Osmosis water. Reverse Osmosis water is the most common type of bottled water. Unless your bottle says "Spring" or "Distilled", then that bottle contains Reverse Osmosis water.

How do I know when you will be delivering?

We do our best to speak with each client on the phone the day before their delivery. If we can't reach you, we will leave a voicemail. If you're a busy person, or simply forget, just ask our office to send you a Route Calendar. It's no trouble for our staff!

Question 8

What if I'm not home when you deliver?

Accepted Answer

That's not a problem for us. We can simply swap your empty bottles for full ones, and our drivers will follow any instructions you have to the best of their ability.

Question 9

How do I know if I should get a Water Softener?

Accepted Answer

If you have hard water, then you've probably already noticed the signs. Hard Water can leave behind the following:

- Reddish stains on shower curtains or tubs
- Scale build up on your faucets
- Residue from your shower products
- Damages to your appliances
- Weird smells

Water Softeners allow for your whole household to access clean, treated, water from any faucet. Please take note that the above situations are not the only ones that can be caused by hard water. Question 10

If water softeners use salt, won't my water be salty?

Accepted Answer

That's not quite the case. Because of the reaction that salt has with the hardness in water, there is very little sodium (or salt) left behind. On average, 1 quart of softened water has 75 to 100 mg; that's less sodium than is in a slice of white bread!

Another solution, if you're still worried about your water tasting salty, is to add on a Reverse Osmosis System for completely sodium-free water. Don't worry, we have those too!
