What is the cost of Air Force Cadets?

At 306SQN we charge an annual fee of $400 which is processed through the schools. This covers all aspects of the experience which are not supported by Defence, and we aim to make this as all-inclusive as possible. Additionally, we will charge new recruits a $100 joining fee for the initial issue of some items.

What if I have a medical condition?

Cadets MUST register any medical conditions or dietary requirements in CadetNet. These records are kept highly confidential. We will take all possible steps to ensure that medical conditions and dietary requirements are catered for, and discuss any concerns with parents.

Can cadets be deployed with the military?

No. Cadets are considered civilians under the Defence Act 1903 and are never treated as members of military by the Australian Defence Force.
