Between now and the inauguration, the Election Sabotage Response Network (ESRN) – a non-partisan network designed to prevent election sabotage and effectively respond to election crises – will be working around the clock to ensure a free and fair election process. As part of this broad effort, a team of faith organizers is coordinating faith communities across the country to participate in this critical work.

On December 4 at 3:30 PM ET, join Faith ESRN for an introductory training on digital security. This training will equip faith leaders with tools to strengthen their digital hygiene and be prepared for digital threats. In a moment that threatens greater political instability, our ability to be digitally secure of of utmost importance.

This training will be led by Zachary Henson. Henson is a digital security trainer with 8 years of experience as a cybersecurity professional and 6 years experience in army special operations. He has 5 years experience working with political organizing communities including Honor the Earth, DSA, and About Face, the latter of which he is a board member.

On December 12 at 4 PM ET, join Faith ESRN and the Horizons Project for a training on "Harnessing Our Power to End Political Violence". This training draws from the 2024 HOPE Project, a multidisciplinary research project on the best methods to prevent and overcome political violence.

The HOPE guide is designed to help people across the United States counter political violence. It aims to empower individuals and strengthen communities to make political violence backfire against those who incite, threaten, and enact it. Community responses to political violence can both support victims and impose costs on those who incite and engage in abuse. We need to stand up to those who want to silence our voices, who try to deny us our rights, and who aim to bully their way into political influence through intimidation and violence.

We are very excited to be able to connect faith leaders to de-escalation trainings organized through Vision Change Win’s GIFT series. These trainings will help equip you with new skills to de-escalate tense and potentially dangerous scenarios related to the elections. We have dedicated funding available to cover those who are interested.
