What makes DJ Aman different from other DJs?

Most DJs learn music through DJing. I learned music first — born into a family of musicians, vocalists and percussionists, then backed it up with a BSc in Music Technology. That combination gives me something most DJs simply don't have: a genuine ear. I don't just read a crowd, I feel it. I know when to hold back, when to push, and exactly when a room is ready to go to the next level. The result is a dancefloor that stays full — every age group, all night.

Do you only play one genre or can you cover different music styles?

This is actually one of my strongest points. My whole approach is built around mixing the old school with the new — classic Bollywood and Bhangra that your parents and aunties know every word to, right through to the latest tracks your cousins have been playing all year. That balance is what keeps every generation moving together rather than half the room sat down waiting for their song. I cover Bhangra, Bollywood, R&B, Hip Hop, Afrobeats, UK Garage, Punjabi, Desi and everything in between — your brief shapes the night, I just make it work.

Question 3

How far in advance do I need to book?

Accepted Answer

As early as possible, honestly. Popular dates — especially summer Saturdays — can go 12 to 18 months out. Once your deposit is received your date is closed off completely, no other enquiries accepted for that day. If your date is coming up soon it's always worth reaching out as there may still be availability, but don't sit on it. The sooner it's locked in, the sooner we can start building your event properly.

Question 4

What happens if something goes wrong on the night — equipment failure, an emergency?

Accepted Answer

In over a decade of performing I have never missed an event. Every piece of equipment is PAT tested, backed up, and checked before every single booking. I carry redundancy for the critical kit — if something fails, something else takes over and your guests won't know a thing happened. I also carry full public liability insurance. You are in professional hands.

Question 5

We have a tight budget — is there any flexibility?

Accepted Answer

I offer a range of packages at different price points specifically so there's something for every type of event and every budget. What I'd always say is this: be upfront about your budget from the start. I'd rather have an honest conversation and find something that works than lose you to someone who'll underdeliver on your night. The consultation is free, there's no obligation, and I'll always tell you straight what's possible and what isn't.
