Daisy is a contemporary dance artist from the North-East of England. She has been freelancing around the UK and EU for the past three years, with her career spanning across performance, choreography and teaching. 

Daisy is a versatile mover and is inspired by a vast array of movement practitioners. She is a keen improviser and often uses it as a tool for building strength and creativity and within performance.

Daisy completed her professional training at London Contemporary Dance School in 2022 and went on to do a Master's with VERVE at the Northern School of Contemporary Dance, graduating in 2023.

Daisy has been teaching dance throughout her freelance career. Organisations she has taught for include:

- National Youth Dance Company 
Having been a part of the National Youth Dance Company as a teenager, Daisy is now part of the NYDC Futures Programme, facilitating dance sessions in secondary schools across the UK. Over the last three years, Daisy has taught repertoire by Wayne MacGregor, Oona Doherty and Boy Blue. 

- Wise Thoughts 
For an LGBTQIA+ friendly community group of older adults based in the Haringey area, Daisy taught a six week programme of general contemporary dance to the Wise Thoughts individuals.

- Dance & Arts Ltd
On an adhoc basis, Daisy teaches different styles of dance in primary after school clubs across London, teaching ages 4-12 years old.

- General outreach 
During performance projects, Daisy has been part of different facilitation teams, teaching and choreographing for groups such as the Dance City CAT, Swindon Dance CAT, SYDC and Gosforth Liberdade.

'The Birthday Party'
Choreographed by Daisy Dancer and Orla Hardie
Group B CAT Scheme - Dance City, Newcastle 
The Birthday Party is a piece using theatricality and physical theatre to create a humorous yet intricate contemporary dance show. Tapping into some clowning and mime, the dancers enter the party and everything goes wrong. They play traditional children's games, dance and even have a slow motion food fight.

'FIVE SHORT STORIES'

Five Short Stories is a piece exploring the idea around body archiving in relation to music and the music which soundtracks a person's life. It follows five dancers and their own relationships with popular music, whilst tapping into movement memories which are constantly evolving through each new version of the piece's rehearsals and performances. 
This piece was created as part of Daisy's MA in Contemporary Dance Performance at the Northern School of Contemporary Dance.
