What are Pub Trivia Nights? How does it work?

Trivia Nights, also known as Pub Quizzes, are vastly popular in anglophone countries around the world!
Teams gather in a pub and answer general knowledge questions. Our focus is to create an even better experience, by making them more engaging and giving attendees the opportunity to meet new friends.

When do Pub Trivia Nights in Napoles take place?

Pub Trivia Nights in Napoles occur twice a month:
- On the 1st Tuesday of each month
- On the 3rd Tuesday of each month

Registrations open roughly 2 weeks before the event takes place, make sure to join the groups and follow the pages so you don't miss out on the next Pub Trivia Night and discount codes!

Where do Pub Trivia Nights in Napoles take place?

Pub Trivia Nights in NAPOLES take places at McCarthy's Irish Pub (Av. de los Insurgentes Sur 573).
Mc Carthy's Irish Pub in NAPOLES is the perfect spot for our Trivia Nights: cozy atmosphere, giant screen and professional sound system to show question-related videos and pictures, classic pub food (try their boneless!), special Pub Trivia Night promos and also complimentary beer for the winning teams!

What are the rewards for the winning teams?

At the end of each round, the best performing team will be awarded free beer to share, courtesy of the hosting bar!
Also, the team that came last will receive free tickets to the next Pub Trivia Night, everyone deserves a second chance!
Some Pub Trivia Nights may also include additional rewards.

I'm bad a Trivia, should I still come?

Of course! Most people are here to have fun and meet new friends. Even if you are "not good" at Trivia, you may surprise yourself and realize that you know more than you think, and that's sometimes what make the difference between a winning team and a runner-up.
Also, the team that came last will receive free tickets to the next Pub Trivia Night, everyone deserves a second chance!

Can I come on my own?

Of course! The aim of our Pub Trivia Nights is for people to meet up and compete in a friendly setting. Most people at our Pub Trivia Nights come on their own, or with a friend or two and form teams with other participants!

How many people can be in a team?

Accepted Answer

The limit is 4-6 people maximum per team! (The maximum amount of people per team depends on how many people attend the Pub Trivia Night and will be announced before the Pub Trivia Night starts and no exception will be made)
Make sure your team doesn't exceed the limit so the game is fair for everyone!
If you and your friends make for too many members for one team, you can split your team equally in two teams (other participants will join you so you won't be just a couple of participants in the team), nothing like some friendly competition!

When does the Pub Trivia Night start?

Doors open at 7:30pm, the first attendees to be there will have the privilege of choosing their table. The Pub Trivia Night starts at 8.10pm sharp! 
Be there on time to make sure not to miss out on any question!

How long does the Pub Trivia Night last?

Accepted Answer

It usually lasts around 2 hours and 30 minutes.

Can I use my phone during the Pub Trivia Night?

Accepted Answer

It's not allowed to use phones while the round is ongoing (for obvious reasons), a penalty will be given if any phone is seen!
You can however use your phone during breaks, which last 15 minutes each.

In what language is the Pub Trivia Night?

Accepted Answer

Questions at Pub Trivia Nights are asked in English.
If you have a friend who doesn't speak English, they can still participate as most participants speak both languages and can help translate a question within the team!
Answers can be in any language (English and Spanish preferred).

Question 12

I just want to watch and not participate, can I come without a ticket / join a team that's already at capacity?

Accepted Answer

The Pub Trivia Nights are a ticketed event and only people with a ticket can enter.
It's also not allowed to exceed the team's capacity limit, whether you intend to participate or just hang around with your friends.

However, the hosting bar has an area to accommodate regular customers, you can still access and order at the bar without any issues.

Can I pay at the door?

Tickets to each Pub Trivia Night need to be purchased through the Eventbrite page (link above), so we know how many people will attend in order to accommodate each participant as best as possible. Purchasing your ticket through the Eventbrite page will also give a discounted price.

Tickets can be purchased at the door as a last resort, but will be more expensive than on Eventbrite.

Question 14

My card payment doesn't go through on Eventbrite, how can I pay?

Sometimes card payments don't go through on the Eventbrite page, especially when using a foreign card.
If that happens, please send me a message on What's App +52 55 7274 9808 or via email at tristan.breon@gmail.com to find an alternative.
The current discount will be applied on your tickets without any issue.

Question 15

How to redeem a free ticket?

If you've won a voucher for a free ticket to the next Pub Trivia Night at a previous event, you can use the code located on the voucher to get it for free when checking out on EventBrite.
To do so, go to the EventBrite page (the link can be found above), click "Get Tickets", remove any automatically applied discount code at the top of the pop up page, and enter the code provided by the ticket you've received. You will then see your free ticket waiting for you!
