Hi, Daddy is a spatial film installation exploring how intimacy, care, and masculinity are performed across relationships structured by the word “Daddy” : father, lover, provider, client. Rooted in fieldwork within Taipei’s mistress clubs, the project examines emotional labour and vulnerability that extend beyond taboo spaces into everyday family life. Three freestanding doors invite visitors to look through reversed peepholes, each revealing one film in a trilogy. As visitors move between the doors, the boundary between voyeur and participant blurs, exposing how loneliness and vulnerability shape the ways people seek, perform, and sometimes purchase intimacy.
