What is chiropractic care?

Naturally, your body undergoes stress (emotional, physical, and chemical), stemming from the moment that you were created. Throughout your lifetime, this stress can cause misalignments in your spine ("subluxations") which can affect how your body feels and how your body functions.

A chiropractor makes specific adjustments that restore nervous spinal function. The body begins to correct itself and your pain begins to subside. It's healing the way that God intended!

What are a chiropractor’s qualifications?

Though they may not wear a white lab coat with a stethoscope, chiropractors’ adjustments are just as real as their doctoral degrees! A chiropractor holds a Doctor of Chiropractic (D.C.) degree and licensure in the state that they practice in. Dr. Roeder has all of these credentials (and more!).

Doc graduated from Life University in Marietta, Georgia, and represents one of only a handful in the country to practice the Pierce Results System, utilizing technology and methods by Dr. Pierce including Digital Dynamic Motion X-Rays and thermographic imaging to get the very best results for his patients. He has been serving the Baltimore community for more than 20 years, witnessing new healing miracles every day.

How are you different from other chiropractors?

Do I need the approval of my primary doctor?

No, you do not need a referral or approval from your primary care doctor—or any other doctor—to begin chiropractic care. Chiropractic care is a direct-access service, meaning you can seek treatment without a referral. Many practice members come to us seeking a more holistic approach to their health and well being (and that of their families) and are excited when their health challenges start diminishing in many circumstances. We are always honored to witness the healing journeys from our practice members through chiropractic care!

Are chiropractic adjustments safe?

Yes, chiropractic adjustments are considered to be very safe when performed by a trained and licensed chiropractor. Dr. Roeder has over 20 years of experience, and he uses state-of-the-art technology and gentle adjustments. This philosophy might be a different approach than the fast cracks and twists of other chiropractors you may have seen, but Doc’s method is one of precision and effectiveness (no twisting or 'cracking' here!). Your safety and comfort are always a top priority for us at CWCB!

Why do I need care if I “feel fine?”

We’re all fine, aren’t we? Until we’re not. If only 10% of our nervous system controls pain (90% controls function), it's nearly impossible to tell if we're ACTUALLY "fine". Many times the body’s internal problems are not yet externally apparent.

Chiropractic care is phenomenal for alleviating health challenges but it's equally important to continue in order to alleviate FUTURE challenges (unless you can ensure that you'll never have emotional, physical or chemical stress in your body).

What does a first appointment look like as a new patient?

Your first appointment with us is all about getting to know you and understanding your unique health needs. We start with a thorough consultation where you fill out some paperwork detailing health concerns, pain levels, and wellness goals. From there, we perform a comprehensive evaluation using state-of-the-art diagnostic tools, including digital motion x-rays, a thermal scan, and a motion study. These tools help us identify any misalignments in your spine that could be contributing to your pain and impacting your quality of life. An adjustment is not included in the first appointment. Dr. Roeder and our team will assist in understanding how your health challenges may be partially (or totally) caused by any misalignments in your spine. This is an eye opening visit (with lots of hope)!

Question 8

What does a second appointment look like as a new patient?

Your second visit is called the "Report of Findings" visit where you'll meet with Dr. Roeder to review the exam findings, explain what is causing your symptoms, and present a recommended and personalized care plan with financing options. We focus on gentle, precise adjustments that are both corrective and preventative, designed to restore balance and support your overall well-being. An adjustment is not included in the second appointment.  If you decide to commit to care at your second visit, we'll set up your schedule, review office policies, and ensure that all of your questions are answered before welcoming you to our chiropractic family!

How often will I come for adjustments?

Each practice member is recommended a different care plan tailored to them; however, most new practice members come in twice per week for the first few weeks, then once a week, and you'll be dropped down gradually in frequency as your symptoms improve and as your body gets healthier.  A nerve scan is performed before each adjustment so we (and you!) can see how your spine is healing, giving us indication of when you're ready to drop down in frequency. Because spinal correction with our methodology occurs so quickly, we can see you 50-75% less than most other chiropractors do and can prove that your body is getting healthier!

Do you accept insurance?

We are primarily a cash practice, as most insurance plans fail to cover the advanced technologies and services we provide, limiting access to the best chiropractic care. Rather than letting insurance dictate treatment, we focus on personalized, high-quality care tailored to your needs.

While we don’t bill insurance directly, we can provide a superbill for potential reimbursement. To make care accessible, we offer flexible payment options, including a $29 New Patient Special, which covers a full evaluation, x-rays, a motion study, and a thermal scan. We’ll then schedule a follow-up to review your results and create a custom care plan.

With payment plans to fit any budget, we ensure you receive the care you need—without financial stress. Your health is our priority!
