Question 1

How do I book a photography session?

Accepted Answer

You can book through our Calendar & Deposit link. Simply select your preferred date and time, complete the required information, and submit your deposit to secure your booking.

Question 2

Is a deposit required?

Accepted Answer

Yes! A deposit is required to reserve your session. Your deposit is applied toward the total cost of your photography package. The remaining balance is paid according to the instructions provided at booking.

Question 3

What is your cancellation policy?

Accepted Answer

We require at least 24 hours' notice for cancellations or rescheduling requests.

Cancellations made less than 24 hours before your appointment will result in forfeiture of your booking deposit, subject to applicable law.

Question 4

What happens if I miss my appointment?

Accepted Answer

Clients who do not attend their scheduled session without notice will forfeit their booking deposit, except where required by law.

Question 5

Can I reschedule my photography session?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely! We understand that plans change. Please contact us at least 24 hours before your scheduled appointment to request a new date. Rescheduling is subject to availability.

Question 6

Where are photography sessions held?

Accepted Answer

Capture the Essence Photography serves Surrey, British Columbia, Lower mainland and surrounding areas.

Session locations are arranged based on your selected package, preferences, and availability.

Question 7

What should I wear to my session?

Accepted Answer

We recommend wearing clothing that makes you feel comfortable and confident. Neutral tones, coordinated colours, and minimal patterns often photograph beautifully.

For couples, families, and group sessions, coordinating outfits rather than wearing identical clothing can create a cohesive look.

Question 8

What happens if it rains?

Accepted Answer

For outdoor sessions, we monitor weather conditions and may recommend rescheduling if the weather is unsuitable or unsafe.

We will contact you to discuss available alternatives.

Question 9

How long will it take to receive my photos?

Accepted Answer

Your estimated delivery timeline will be communicated when booking your photography package.

Each image is carefully selected and professionally edited before delivery.

Question 10

Will I receive all the unedited photos?

Accepted Answer

Final packages include professionally selected and edited photographs. RAW or unedited files are not included unless specifically agreed upon.

Question 11

Can I request specific poses or photo ideas?

Accepted Answer

Of course! We welcome inspiration photos and creative ideas.

Feel free to share your vision before the session so we can discuss how to incorporate it into your photography experience.

Question 12

Will my photographs be posted on social media?

Accepted Answer

Your privacy matters to us. We will request appropriate permission before using identifiable client images for our portfolio, website, social media, or promotional materials.
