I believe that the way we work shapes the way we live - and that by focusing on what we are going home for each day, we can protect our mental health and rediscover clarity, purpose, and balance beyond the desk. Beyond The Desk started as a personal project to ready myself to return to work after maternity leave, find a positive balance between work and home-life and not burn myself out. I decided to back myself, self-publish and share what I learned along the way. I have chosen to support two amazing UK charities who provide advice and support to people right across the country who are struggling with their mental health. I pledge that 20% of all author royalties received from the sale of Beyond The Desk will be shared between SAMH and Mind for the lifetime of the guided journal.
