Dr. Cabral and the team at Aztec Pet Hospital are amazing! They truly care about every animal that walks through their doors. Dr. Cabral is patient, knowledgeable, and takes the time to explain everything clearly. You can tell she genuinely loves what she does and treats your pets(2 guinea pigs)  like family. The staff is always kind, professional, and quick to help. I’m so grateful to have such a wonderful vet here in Harker Heights — highly recommend Dr. Cabral for anyone looking for the best care for their pets!

Highly recommend Aztec. I have been taking my pets her for many  yrs. Today I want to say Thank you to Corina and Belinda for trimming my Sr. Dog Chucks nails. He hates nail trims so bad that sometimes we do not get them all done but today  Corina was able to do an amazing job!!! ( maybe she worked at a nail salon ? ) Chuck finally got a great  complete nail trim , his nails look so much better and Thank you Belinda for keeping Chuck calm . He was nervouse as we go every month for his hip shot but he seemed to relax with these wonderful ladies. Thank you

Aztec has been caring for mine and my familiy's pets for over 20 years.  They've saved my dog's life, and cared for my second dog at the end of his.  Steve recieved better treatment through his end of life journey than my Stepfather recieved from teh VA.  I expected a cardboard box of ashes and instead I revieved a beautiful engraved box, a personal letter, prints of his snoot and paws, and hugs from the majority of staff, a hearfelt card, and a handful of other things to remember him by.  If I can help it, I will never go to another vet for my animals.  Once you walk into the doors you become family and they care for you and your pet as if you're one of their own.

They treated my dog without MY permission. My chart says to call me before doing anything to her no matter who brings her and the manager said that wasn’t true, but in the past I’ve always gotten a call, but not yesterday. I had my dog there only to be microchipped and my son returned with medication and an extra doctor fee visit ($153) that wasn’t needed for her. They argued with me about why they didn’t call me to consent treatment for her. Emily is VERY rude and confrontational. They are VERY money hungry now I’m seeing.  I’ve been coming here for YEARS with several dogs I’ve owned and never been treated this way. I will not be back, which I know they won’t care because hey I’m one perosn with one pet and they will continue to make their money and have business, but they lost one customer over something that could’ve been easily resolvable. I would’ve paid for the medication which I did, but the extra doctor fee that we had already accumulated this summer for the same thing should’ve been given back to me. But it’s fine I just ate a $202 vet bill that should’ve only been $60ish. Stay away if you don’t want to be fooled or spend more than you expect.

This is our second time living in central Texas and we came back to Aztec Pet Hospital for our dog and cat’s care without hesitation. They are always so kind and friendly, the prices are very reasonable, and they do not ever recommend unnecessary care. Both of our animals love coming for their appointments and I know they are always in the best of hands.

We relocated to Texas, from Wisconsin, in August 2022, with our two male senior cats (then aged 11 and 15). Our older cat had stage 3 kidney disease, and all of the vets we saw there were wonderful and knowledgeable and helped us keep our cat's kidney disease stable for another 16 months. In October 2023, his kidney disease progressed and he was given 3-6 months. He made it through the holidays and in early January 2024, at 17 years old, he crossed the rainbow bridge. My other male is now turning 15 and has stage 2 kidney disease. Again everyone at Aztec is being very wonderful and helping us navigate this road again. I also have two 4 year old female cats that I bring to Aztec for all their checkups and vaccinations, and everyone treats them very well. I am so happy that I decided to start going to Aztec after we moved here! Attached pictures are Caper (female- gray brown tabby), Cayenne (female- calico and white), Oliver (male- orange tabby).

We've had an amazing time since we switched to Aztec. We are so fortunate to have been see by Dr. Vaden who took our case (Winry with the ears) so seriously, which was refreshing as previous vets basically did band aid solutions for us.<br><br>Very knowledgeable staff and caring. We love Aztec. Our dogs are in great hands there.
