Tambayan started as a quiet “what if.” Late 2025, after my husband lost his job, we began dreaming about building something of our own—something rooted in food and community. At the time, it felt like a “maybe someday.” Then January 2026 came, and I got laid off too. Suddenly, that “what if” became now. We were scared. Uncertain. But we chose to look inward. What do we love? What has always been there? The answer was simple: food, and bringing people together.
