My father is a sailor. He gave me a chest full of gold and taught me how to roll cigarettes. In reality he works hard aboard a cargo ship and pays for my film studies. But he really did teach me how to roll cigarettes. Synopsis: A film essay by the daughter of a sailor, who reflects on her own childhood and gradually destroys the romanticized image of her father - a sailor, who spent half of her life on a cargo ship. She embarks on the adventurous journey to better understand her dad’s world and explores how his absence and his work shaped her identity and her view of failure of modern world.
