Lord John Nash

Former schools minister Lord John Nash took five acts of parliament through the House of Lords during his tenure (2013–2017), one of which was the Children and Families Act. He is also the founder of Future Academies, a group of schools across Hertfordshire and London dedicated to broadening the horizons and improving the life chances of young people. Between 2020 and 2022, Lord Nash was the lead non-executive director responsible for coordinating the activities of the lead non-executives of each government department. During his time in government, he also started the Boarding Schools Partnership designed to allow disadvantaged students to attend state and private boarding schools and private day schools on a full bursarship.
