had a staff party, we had the best service. luned served us and she was truly the best. served all our needs and was always smiling and polite. the food was okay, chicken burger was very dry and mac’n’cheese was thick and a bit mash like but was lovely all together .

Visited for a meal n drinks NYE around 4 pm.
The pub does a limited number of pre-booked tables and keeps a proportion for walk-in.
Plenty of room in the stables area, large cavernous area with mix of table sizes.

Late approx 11.45 pm, I returned to the bar and enjoyed a friendly welcome for NY Midnight which was counted down by the friendly bar team.

We stayed at black boys in between Christmas and new year. The room was very good, clean and spacious. It was up several flights of stairs, which was ok for us, but may be an issue for some. ||The breakfast was excellent with a range of options including small or large Welsh, eggs Benedict, eggs royale, smashed avocado on toast…. ||We found everyone to be very friendly.||In Caernarfon, in late December many places were closed or very quiet, But the restaurants and bars of the black boys inn always seemed full and lively.||We ate at the inn on two evenings, both meals were generous portions… great after a days walking.||I’d recommend black boys to anyone looking for a base to explore north wales.

We called in for dinner  as we were told by staff they had a selection of gluten-free dishes.<br>We were seated ,ordered drinks, then were told most of the gluten-free dishes where not available<br>My husband ended up with a small portion of chips some garden peas and gravy. We left hungry.<br>Staff we very nice and attentive.  Restaurant was lovely.  But food for a celiac was lacking.

We popped in on the off chance while passing looking for somewhere to have lunch and we weren't disappointed.  The meal prices were on par with similar venues of this type, the meals themselves were very well portioned and delicious. If I'm in caernarfon again I will be using this venue again for dining.  Definitely recommend

This is the third time we've stayed here and it never fails to please. (2 nights BnB £250 including the £30 parking for the duration).||Stayed in room 30, which by coincidence was the same room we stayed in the last time we were there. The room is huge with everything you want in it. It also has it's own separate stair case going up to it - I like that.||Lots of history and character and it's just inside the old town walls. ||Cleanliness and quality of the room and fittings is second to none.||Close to everything, including the castle - a few pubs and shops nearby and a very short walk to the front where you can look over to Anglesey.||There is a small car park next to the hotel - £15 for 24 hours, however there are other options which the hotel do provide information for - all very close by.||Breakfast on both mornings we were there was lovely.||I totally recommend the place.
