We were greeted with a warm and friendly welcome, the staff is very helpful and super efficient. The hotel is ideally located, close to public transport and a short walk from most of the center town attractions, but quiet. The rooms are spacious (incl. bathroom) and comfortable. Well heated (and insulated) you can easily set the room temperature to match your taste, you'll find power outlets close to the bed head, free tea, Nespresso coffee and sparkling water on the landing, as well as an assortment of fruit. Good lighting in the room and bathroom. All appliances worked fine, the shower had good pressure. The place is spotless. Be it the room, bathroom, corridors, stairs, you name it. Fast and reliable Wi-Fi speeds throughout the hotel. We had a lovely stay, and we'll make sure to stay there next time we're back in Basel. A+++

Close to old town
Location is very noisy but we loved it
Staff super friendly and obliging
Rooms are big but not a lot of storage
Remember to bring longer power adapters to charge your devices
Recommend Volkshaus it is a great spot
Restaurant was superb and great for a traditional breakfast

Sehr gutes Essen und nettes Personal nur das Wiener Schnitzel war mir zu dünn und die Pommes (Zündhölzer) waren zu dünn und der Auberginen Turm war schon eingebrochen wo sie es serviert haben. Aber alles im allem ein gutes Erlebnis ist weiter zu empfehlen

Sehr schöne historische Bausubstanz, geschmackvoll modernisiert, sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal, sehr gute Lage in Fussdistanz zu Alstadt und in lebendigem Quartier, Zimmer etwas klein, dafür nicht 08/15
