Meet Uncle Ugen!
He’s not a chef a chef trained in fancy culinary schools. He’s just a regular guy with an extraordinary love for momo.
Growing up in the hills of Sikkim, Ugen learned that the best things in life are simple, like the momos his mother used to make. A few basic ingredients, wrapped in dough, steamed to perfection and served with a smile.
“Momo is more than food, Ugen. They’re a way to share love.” His mother’s words stayed with him long after he left the warmth of his family kitchen.
They echoed in his mind as he pursued a conventional career, like so many of us do. But every evening, as he returned from his job, it was the kitchen that called to him. It was the momo that brought him back to life.
And then one day, Ugen made a bold decision. He traded in his job and turned his love for momos into his life’s purpose.
So Uncle Ugen’s Momo was born, not just as a business but as a tribute to the food that shaped his childhood and a nod to the tradition that filled his heart with joy.
