Technica Movement

Artist, educator, and community leader rooted in Minnesota. With 12 years of professional experience and a foundation in street dance, I have proudly been a company member of Black Label Movement since 2013. My performance experience also includes work with BRKFST Dance, STRONGmovement, and the Minnesota Timberwolves. I am also an instructor and educator at the University of Minnesota Theater and Dance Program, Macalester College, and HotHouse. Currently, I am the Artistic Director of Mixtape Dance MN. Career highlights include, Black Label Movement’s 2015 Bodystorming Hits Bangalore initiative with the National Centre for Biological Science in Bangalore, India; 2018 debut of my solo "Being Hmong, Being Free" with Tou Saikos Lee; and a 2022 residency in Dublin, Ireland following the premiere of 60/40 with BRKFST Dance. As a 2022 McKnight Dancer Fellow, I trained with Denden Karadeniz of Zero Dance Theatre in the Netherlands to develop a new solo.
