Berklee College of Music graduate Tanya Dutt’s approach is innovative, insightful, and engaging for skillful synergistic singing and authentic vocal expression. Going beyond traditional vocal instruction, the benefits experienced within her crafted holistic modality with uniquely devised training tools, exercises, and techniques aim to have a positive ripple effect in all areas of life through self-discovery.

SESSION OVERVIEW (study and practice materials provided):

~ Cultivating a perspective of the individual in their entirety as the instrument producing vocal sound
~ Somatic awareness practices for sustained vocal health & development (In-depth knowledge and conscious practices within breath-work, movement, articulator positioning, breath+tonal placement, balanced implementation of exercises, emotional and psychological effects) 
~Blend of kinesiology and psycho-sensory processes with therapeutic results (hemispherical balance, development of neural pathways transforming habitual patterns, heightened awareness)
~Freeing resistance within the physical, emotional, and mental body for confident, skillful singing and vocal artistry

Having experienced traditional approaches to education in various disciplines growing up, I feel I missed pieces that could have sparked my enthusiasm and engagement in wanting to apply myself better as a student. Working with varied age groups and levels while finding solutions in context to the individual facing a unique challenge led me to recognize a more holistic approach to troubleshooting problems related to vocal freedom and ability. Processes reflecting a blend of psycho-sensory and kinesiology therapy with somatic awareness practices have proven an overall sense of healing with shifts in perspective in purpose and approach to singing.
