Join us for a serene evening of harmony and remembrance, honoring the radiant light Aurora has left in our hearts.

Throughout the evening, we will share heartfelt tributes to Aurora’s beautiful spirit and the lasting light she leaves behind.
A buffet of appetizers and finger foods will be shared as we gather in reflection.
We respectfully ask you to wear warm florals and coastal-inspired attire.

Saturday, May 17 | 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Beginning at 11:00 AM, our doors and hearts will be open to all who wish to join us—
to honor, to grieve, and to celebrate the beautiful light of our precious Aurora-Elizabeth.
At 1:00 PM, we will gather for a special prayer by the sea, lifting her name into the air with love and hope.
Following the prayer, the shoreline will remain a space of peace, reflection, and quiet presence.
A memorial table will be available for those who wish to leave a private message for Aurora—words of love, prayers, or hopes carried on the tide.
Light refreshments and hors d’oeuvres will be shared as we spend the afternoon together, holding space for both sorrow and celebration.
Attire: Seaside Grace – We kindly suggest Sunday best as preferred attire to honor the occasion. Portions of the event will take place on the sand, so sand-friendly footwear—or going barefoot—is warmly encouraged for your comfort. Participation on the sand is entirely optional.

 • Traffic Advisory: There is only one bridge onto Emerald Isle. Traffic may be heavy, especially during afternoon hours. Please plan extra travel time accordingly.
 • Parking: Street parking is available near the house. Please park respectfully and avoid blocking driveways. The Emerald Isle Police Department has been notified.

If you wish to send flowers, we will be occupying the property from Sunday, May 11 through Sunday, May 18.
Please plan deliveries during this time to:

Your thoughtfulness is warmly appreciated.
After the services, the flowers will be gently returned to the earth, enriching the soil as compost to nurture the planting of a tree—an enduring tribute to Aurora’s spirit.

Stayed here last weekend for 2 nights.  Had such a great experience.  The staff is very friendly and helpful.  Rooms were clean and well maintained.  The setup of the room allowed enough space for a family of 4.  The beach is a short easy walk from your door and there was plenty of parking right by your room.  The biggest perk for us was the bikes and chairs we had access to at no extra cost.    Beautiful location.  Our room was not beach front but still close to pool and beach.

Booked this venue for my daughter's wedding in April 2024.  Loved the location! After communicating with the onsite event coordinator on multiple occasions over the period of one year, had several miscommunications.  Several of the details were not as planned. Main complaint being room reservation was incorrect upon arrival.  Staff apologized but not willing to resolve the issue.  I had to have my best friend switch rooms with me.  Very embarrassing as the mother of the bride and the person that paid for everything (in excess of $7,000) just for the venue itself!  Also, the deluxe package we paid for did not include everything advertised.  It has been over a year now and hotel still has not resolved the final issue.  Really enjoyed the location but really need to work on customer service! Definitely confirm ALL details ahead of time if you plan an event!

Stayed there recently and rented an ocean front room.  The room was very nice and right on the ocean. The room was clean.  The room had two TVS, a dining area and sitting area, full size refrigerator, and microwave.  They do not allow cooking in the room which for a weekend was no problem but keep in mind if staying longer. Also, to get the best understanding of what type of room your are renting I would suggest you call, because some have ocean view, some are ocean front and some have no view.

Our Story of the Forever Rose... I first received my first Forever Rose on our 1st Anniversary, my second was for our son Williams-Augustus, my third was 2 days prior to losing our daughter. This purple and white platinum dipped rose laid across our beautiful baby while we said good-bye. This is a memory we will share for the rest of our lives. We would like to give those this opportunity. 

Our dream is to be able to provide a Rose to families that go through the same tragedy me did and hopeful being a lasting memory to the families.

We stayed at this hotel for four nights and paid almost $1,000 for our stay.
The biggest advantage of this property is definitely its location. The beach is just a short walk away, making it a great option for anyone looking for a beach vacation. The rooms are spacious, the beds are comfortable, and the pool area is clean and inviting.

Unfortunately, the overall service experience did not meet our expectations. The front desk staff seemed rather unfriendly throughout our stay. At check-out, there was no “thank you for staying with us,” no question about how our stay had been, and very little interaction overall. The bill was printed, payment was processed, and that was it.

I have worked as a Front Office Manager for major hotel chains around the world for 16 years, so I understand how demanding and stressful this job can be. However, a simple smile and a sincere “thank you for your stay” would have gone a long way.

The room remained sandy throughout our stay, and there was no regular housekeeping service. We didn’t know that until we arrived. Fresh towels had to be picked up from the front desk. The housekeeping staff themselves were always friendly whenever we saw them, but housekeeping carts were rolled loudly through the hallways every morning around 5:45 a.m., which was quite disruptive.

The pool itself is nice, but on two different days there were no pool towels available. We spent several hours at the pool between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m., and the towels were never replenished during that time.

The Wi-Fi connection was extremely poor, especially on the first floor, where we frequently had no service at all. The air conditioning was also very loud, and the room had a noticeable damp and musty smell.

Overall, the hotel’s location is its strongest selling point, but several aspects of the service and maintenance fell short of what we expected for the price paid.

Great location and price! The room was very nice and super convenient to the beach. The pool was great as well. No complaints here, and I would definitely come back!

I would consider this a motel with a nice location on the beach, not a hotel/Resort. They do have a hand full of bikes you can use and beach chairs. However, the beach chairs are a heavy wood so not convenient. Pool is nice, but be warned that it is NOT heated so very cold! The chairs around the pool are a nice composite material so they do look nice, however, will kill your body to lay in the sun! The rooms are just ok. Bring a can of air freshener as they do smell musty. Our room wasnt as clean as we would like when we arrived. I could see sand on the floor and found a broom in the closest - see the pic of how much sand I swept up as soon as we got there. They must have forgot to sweep it! We both had back aches from the bed. The door going out to the patio is a full length glass door and a light outside that stays on so we had light in our room all night. Their banquet room was directly under our room and there was a wedding reception with booming music until 10pm. After a long day on the beach we wanted to relax and watch TV but couldnt hear the TV. Would have been horrible if we had small kids trying to sleep. Also, our freezer door was missing so we couldnt put anything in it. Overall I would say its just an ok place to say, but for the price I would expect alot more and cleaner rooms. Also, housekeeping is every 3 days and you have to request a day in advance. We will be checking other places next time.
