Girls Who Code (GWC) is a non-profit organization that aims to encourage non-binary and female people to embrace their interests in STEM despite being a minority in STEM fields. The Girls Who Code organization spreads awareness by reaching out to schools to provide funding and resources. Girls Who Code has multiple clubs associated with them everywhere in the United States.

Girls Who Code hosts many headquarters for different schools! PHHS Girls Who Code is open to all genders who are interested in computer science and genderqueer or female representation in the field. When joining our headquarters, go to hq.girlswhocode.com and sign in with your personal email. Select K-12 and fill out the Google Form provided below to verify you are a Patrick Henry Student. Once you fill out this form, you will be given the join code to put into Girls Who Code HQ to join our school! You will also be given the Discord join link for PHHS Girls Who Code where we make our announcements and communicate.

We will work on projects collaboratively through GitHub, an online platform used by programmers to move their code from local storage and to the web in order to collaborate, save their code, and display their projects for others to see.
