I became homeless in November 2024. I stayed at some shelters for 5 months afterwards. In April 2025 I was hospitalized due to severe and complex orthopedic fractures in my legs/feet and spine. I needed multiple surgeries to fix what was broken. I was non weight bearing for 3 months afterwards. As of 7/23/25, I am cleared to start PT to walk again. It's been very difficult but there's one thing weighing heavily on my mind. I am still homeless and I need to find a place to be soon. I can afford monthly rent for an apartment with the disability income that I now receive, but I'm unable to pay for the move in costs. Like the application fees, security deposit, and first months rent. If just 500 people send $2, I will be able to move into my own place in August. I would forever be grateful for all of this support. 💜 ❤️
