Seems we are in " 0ther Land" when we spend time there...

Definitely a trip to repeat! You are greeted upon arrival by friendly staff. The Venezuelan cuisine is plenty and very good. Activities to do during the day and a pool to enjoy and relax before dinner. The location is quiet surrounded by local fauna. It was a nice family trip with lots of anecdotes and pleasant experiences. Yo can go fishing, anaconda hunting, milking cows, riding horses. Lots of picture opportunities to remember the trip. My boys loved this vacation trip.

Spent 2 nights/3 days at the Hato. Its about 40 mins by taxi from the Barinas Terminal. (The Hato will recommend you a driver they trust).||||On arrival you are greeted about as warmly as is possible (outside of family). The staff genuinely want to make you feel at home and not leave wondering. We were greeted with a fresh fruit drink and a dessert.||||The location is a green oasis, quiet and with various animals having free reign over the property.||||The rooms are simple, clean and cover all needs. If your lucky you will have some local creature as your room buddy.||||Included in the rate are all meals and drinks (except Whiskey). The food is both plentiful and amazing Venezuelan cuisine. You quickly learn that Los Llaneros have no concept of small portions and you will need to loosen a few buttons on your pants to accommodate for it.||||For every night you stay you will be entitled to a trip around the Hato. While we were there this included milking the cows, observing chigüires, birds and caimans, piranha fishing, riding horses........||||On the Hato there is a nice pool with soft drinks and all you need to make your Cuba Libres available, for relaxing after the trips.||||We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Hato. The only thing that was missing were a few hammocks to retreat to after lunch/dinner.

Es un lugar hermoso, en armonia total con la naturaleza, hay mucho para ver y hacer, sus habitaciones son amplias y comodas, el personal es muy amable, su gastronomia es espectacular

Para vivir Barinas de verdad, tienes que hospedarte en el Hato Cristero. Es el equilibrio perfecto entre naturaleza y cultura. Durante el día, disfrutarás de paseos para observar la fauna local en su hábitat natural, acompañados de relatos tradicionales que explican el ingenio de nuestros refranes. Por la noche, la cena se acompaña con música en vivo, donde no solo escucharás los clásicos llaneros, sino que entenderás el significado de sus letras.

Lo único que me faltó para tener una experiencia perfecta fue comer una cachapa con queso de mano y cochino frito. Unos frijoles o caraotas con queso. Y que me vendan productos lácteos empacados al vacío para llevarme a Caracas.

Un lugar lleno de naturaleza, donde se pueden observar, aves, mamíferos y exuberante naturaleza, además de la atención de sus anfitriones, excelente comida, gastronomía de la zona y buen servicio. Lo recomiendo ampliamente si quieres conectarte con la naturaleza, la paz y la tranquilidad este sitio es ideal
